Joie and Vince Tie The Knot

Comments: (0)
Joie and Vince exchanged vows, spoke their "I Do's", and partied it up in true lavish style at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center. A truly spectacular feat when considering the immense size of the space for affair to remember. Though it is quite a challenge for the Yanni Design Studio team to undertake to bring in the quaintness of an elegant wedding event while also not losing the the guests to the shear size of the room. But how to do it? Use the space to your advantage!

Each table in the reception hall sported a large arrangement of roses, dendrobium orchids, hydrangea, stock, and spray roses in hues of white, ivory and blush pink. These immense arrangements sat atop giant candelabras that had a vine like enrapture of the same flowers that rested on top of each stem. And to add a touch of elegance, dripping crystals hung down from the floral pieces as if they were raining down on to the table tops. And all of this was accompanied by romantic candlelight atop the candelabra of flowers and in small votives on each table.

A small addition to the already elegant room was spacial lighting in pinks and purples to add just a hint, a mere touch of color.

The tables were spaced well, but not too far from one another, and with the special table treatments designed by Yanni Design Studio, the space between the table created a more intimate atmosphere - an elegant and intimate atmosphere.

Another coup d'état from the team behind the scenes at Yanni Design Studio. Kudos goes out to Mary and Alfonso at the Conventions Center, Tracie Simkin from Partie Girl Inc., and all involved in bringing this affair the intimacy it needed and a great time was had by all.

A Wedding Needs A Year To Plan?

Comments: (0)
Not Mila and Mark, who recently tied the knot at La Mirage in Rolling Meadows. In fact, it was a whirlwind wedding with all the plans commencing in blaze of glory in just two months and before Thanksgiving too!

Sky Events helped plan the affair and Mike from Novo Photography took some amazing photos!

But let's not forget that Mila planned a wedding in 2 months! Call Ripley, 'cause he ain't going to believe this feat. Mila and Mark, found the ideal location to pull off a truly amazing event in La Mirage in Rolling Meadows... and with the artful styling of Yanni Design Studio did Mila find her muse for the backdrop of her dream day.

Amidst the stark black and white of traditional wedding wear, Mila and Yanni Design Studio transformed the room into a brisk fall day filled with fiery yellows, blazing oranges, and coppery hues that truly stood out from the blinding white of Mila's wedding gown and the black and white tuxedos worn by the groom and his merry men.

Onyxidium orchids, mokara orchids and other floral made up the centerpieces and the bride's bouquet, not to mention all the bridesmaid bouquets and groomsman's boutonnieres. The room was also adorned with flowing drapes of light orange color, but simply stated as to be just what it is, a background and to not take away from the beauty of the ceremony taking place. It added a hint of color to help define the moment: two remarkable people taking their vows under a blaze of glory.

Once the ceremony was over, everyone headed to the reception where they were greeted with more Fall colors...it was as if Fall had exploded in the room and left behind dazzling centerpieces made of the onyxidium and dendrobium orchids in intense yellows, oranges and reds - whose colors are normally found on a copse of trees lining a country road in October or November in Michigan. Yet here they were in all their resplendent beauty.

Vivid colors sprayed out from the tops of the centerpieces that rested atop tall crystal clear vases with a touch of yellow crystals that were brilliantly illuminated from below to add a distinction of color to the otherwise darkly burnished floral display. And just to make it even more beautiful (which was hard to do, but accomplished anyway) was the addition of several votives attached to the vase.

The affair was gorgeous. Mila pulled quite the coup in getting everything together to blast out a wedding in just two months time. Maybe Mila has found a new niche - the perfect wedding in under two months. Or maybe the stars were aligned in her favor. Whatever the case may be, she certainly had the splenderific help of Yanni Design Studio to make her wedding a truly beautiful affair. One could even say that it was magical.

And then again, maybe all the magic Mila needed was in the perfect Chicagoland florist and design studio. Because at Yanni Design Studio, we make magic happen, one wedding at a time.

A Bat Mitzvah Made For A Princess!

The floral designs of Yanni Design Studio is the way to go. Not only are you receiving the master craftsmanship of intricate designs coupled with the delicate designs and imaginative presentations created by our own production designers, but you're receiving the premiere event floral designer in the Chicago-land area to design your special event (be it a Wedding, B'Nai Mitzvah, Sweet Sixteen, Shower, Anniversary or other event).

In this case, Gabby's Bat Mitzvah, centerpieces in shades of pinks and purples topped with delicate Swarovski crystal tiaras that promoted an air of royalty across the room which was bathed in purple light. The centerpiece stems - some swirled by roses in various shades of pink and some shimmering in crystal delight - accented the room beautifully. All the while adding to the feeling of royal elegance through Chateau Ritz's opulent chandelier in the center of the room and mini chandelier's spaced through the room as well.

As with most elegant affairs, a monogram or a single initial greeted the guests as they entered the royal hall. In this case, a grandiose letter "G" made from gorgeous roses of pinks and purple.

The Bat Mitzvah was the must-attend of the season...which was made into a truly star-studded evening when Grammy Award nominated rapper Flo Rida made a surprise appearance in honor of the newly ordained Gabby into womanhood.

Congratulations to Gabby and her family on this truly wonderful event. A special shout out goes to Larisa Goldenberg with Designs by Larisa and all the staff at Chateau Ritz! A special shout out to Flo Rida for his role in this truly special occasion.

At Yanni Design Studio, we make magic happen, one Bar/Bat Mitzvah (or wedding) at a time!
